Health and Safety Refresher
Overview
This one-day refresher course, approved by WorkSafe WA, is tailored for Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) who have previously completed the comprehensive five-day training and are seeking to renew their knowledge and skills.
The course revisits key topics from the original five-day program and incorporates the latest updates in safety legislation and workplace health initiatives. Participants will strengthen their ability to interpret the work health and safety legislative framework and understand its relevance to their role as an HSR. This equips them to confidently and effectively promote health and safety within their workplace.
Health and Safety Representatives are required to undertake up to one day’s refresher training each year, with the requirement to attend the first refresher training commencing 1 year after the initial training (as per the Work Health Safety (General) Regulations 2022)

Mine Safety and Training does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for this course. Due to the duration and cost of this short course, RPL assessment would have limited value to participants.
